Healthy Schools
Ridgeway Infant School recognises that a healthy school is one that is successful in helping children to do their best and build on their achievements. We aim to promote both physical and emotional health by providing accessible and relevant information and equipping children with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health. We understand the importance of investing in health to assist in the process of raising levels of child achievement and improving standards . . . this is something we are very proud of here at Ridgeway!
As part of the School Fruit and Vegetable Scheme (SFVS), children at Ridgeway are entitled to a FREE piece of fruit or veg every day. Through the scheme, children are exposed and encouraged to try and range of different fruit and veg, such as:
- Apples
- Pears
- Mini Cucumbers and Peppers
- Bananas
- Oranges
- Radishes
- Raisins
